Ngalla Maya provides mentoring and psychosocial support to the trainee and to their family members if required. Repeat offending is increasing with 78 per cent of prisoners, nearly 8,000 of the more than 10,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inmates, having served a prior conviction.

What is a standout is they vet no one out. Part of the Ngalla Maya approach is that they don’t vet out anyone.
